2016 Day Camp News!

Registration will open shortly, website is updated minus a few tweaks, but we wanted to share the news that we are expanding our camper coverage as well!

Two years ago we introduced coed camping allowing girls to participate in the program!  Our 2nd year we grew coed attendance by 500%!  We are happy to continue on that path!

New for 2016 is that we will increase the age range to include campers who will enter 2nd through 8th grade in the fall of 2016!  That’s right, we are adding an older camper program that will incorporate activities like challenge course (COPE), rifle shooting, kayaking, and Stand Up Paddle Board!

We look forward to having our campers who have aged out, have the opportunity to come back up until an age where they can sign up to be Counselors In Training!

Camp is Resting!

Its hard to believe that our camp season is over!  This photo was taken on Monday morning after our staff closed camp over the weekend.  Carports, boats, PFD’s, picnic tables – all put away for the winter (yikes!).  Thanks for sharing your campers with us and we look forward to serving your family again or for the 1st time in 2016.

Blue Bus Route Time Changes

Please not that after a week driving this new route, our driver made suggestions for pickup and drop off times.  Please check the Adventure Day Camp drop down and select “Bus Routes: to see the new times.  As always, please try to be 10 mins early on each end of the day to ensure your camper doesn’t miss the bus or have the bus have to wait.  Also, please not that part of this route is in the Rt 9 area which we all know can create delays of its own!

Exciting Changes to Day Camp Program for 2016!

Parents often ask – “what’s next for my camper?” when the finish the 5th grade.  So we are pleased to announce that this year, the Adventure Day Camp is extending its program to boys and girls entering 2nd through 8th grade in the fall of 2016.  Sixth through eighth graders will participate in older camper activities like challenge course, kayaking, stand up paddle board and more!  There will also be Merit Badge opportunities for registered Boy Scouts.

We strongly encourage Boy Scouts to attend a week of residential camp with their troop, but after that, why  not extend your summer of fun by attending the older camper program at the Adventure Day Camp!
